Protecting the Lynches River Watershed

We are pleased to announce that the second cycle for applications to the Lynches River Conservation Fund is now open!

The Lynches River is one of the so called "five rivers" that is part of our greater Winyah Bay watershed. We've been involved in conservation efforts there for several years and are proud to be part of the Lynches River Conservation Board, participating in the fund for land conservation/acquisition and supporting projects that will improve its water quality and ecological integrity.

EPA - help us protect clean water!

I am opposed to any and all efforts to eliminate clean water protections for waterbodies that are held in the public trust for the people of our state and our country. EPA's plan to revise the definition of “waters of the United States” (WOTUS) is a disaster waiting to happen. Already we have issues with companies illegally polluting our public trust waters. Gutting the Clean Water Act would allow industry to freely pollute our water and lead us back in time to those pre-CWA days when waterways were unprotected from polluters.
