River Hero of the week 5/8/2026!

Earlier this week, the Pee Dee-Lynches Riverkeeper spent some time on the Little Pee Dee River with our awesome volunteer, Stewart Snowden, who regularly removes trash every time he paddles. They tackled some of the trash that had built up in log jams downstream of Allen’s Bridge in Dillon County. All together, they covered about a mile of river, all the way to the Marion County line, pulling debris out and finishing up with a quick cleanup at the bridge. In total, they collected about 50 lbs of trash and a tire from the river.
