Celebrate Our Rivers Event
Supporting our Riverkeepers and fishable, swimmable, drinkable water
We’re all “riverkeepers’ because we love and protect our local rivers. And on Sunday, September 29th you’re invited to a River Celebration event! Food, live music, raffles, a live auction and fun activities on the water! Tickets are $40pp ($35pp for our members), available at www.winyahrivers.org.
Our River Celebration event will take place at the private estate of Sponsor Larry Paul in the Socastee area of Myrtle Beach. Dine on tasty home cooking with an international flair from Shine Café. Enjoy tasty brews from SweetWater Brewery, wine and sparkling water to cool off. Listen to the musical stylings of Brian Roessler and friends while you bid on more than 30 donated items. And there’s a live auction too! And what’s a celebration without water! Black River Outdoors will provide kayaks for use on the estate’s pond and beach games. The fun begins at 4 pm.
And we’ll be celebrating with others around the world…September 29th is also World Rivers Day, a celebration of the many values of rivers worldwide and their stewardship.

Winyah Rivers Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and hosts the Waccamaw RIVERKEEPER® Program and the Lumber RIVERKEEPER® Program. River Celebration is a benefit for Winyah Rivers Alliance and our RIVERKEEPER® Programs. Funds raised provide general operating support for our education and advocacy programs to protect fishable, swimmable, drinkable water for our families and for our future.
