Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to our 2018 Volunteer of the Year, Archie Biggs!

We’re so honored to recognize Archie for his passion and commitment to our rivers and community. Read below to learn why Archie is “all in.”

Archie is a longtime volunteer, in fact an original volunteer, with our Waccamaw River Volunteer Monitoring Program. Until recently, Archie served as the team leader for Team #4, the team of dedicated volunteers that sample at Wachesaw Landing (Wacca Wache), Enterprise Landing and Peachtree Landing.

“It has been a wonderful experience and we have fun no matter what the weather or circumstances. Our water quality monitoring program makes a real difference here locally and in our state.” -Archie
