Join your Riverkeeper for World Cleanup Month

It’s that time of year again! It is time for fall cleanups season! September is World Cleanup Month and World Cleanup Day is September 21! In cooperation with these events, we are hosting our fall Cleanup Our Local Waterways Initiative during the entire month of September.

Our Adopters with the Waccamaw RIVERKEEPER® Adopt-a-Landing program have scheduled cleanups throughout the month of September and invite you to join them! We have cleanups from Lake Waccamaw all the way to Winyah Bay! There is a cleanup for everybody! Our adopters will have cleanup supplies including pickers, gloves, and bags to get you started! All you have to do is show up and help out. Want to cleanup more than just the boat landing? Bring your kayak and cleanup the river and its banks, too!

Help us celebrate throughout the entire month! We have cleanups scheduled every weekend and we invite you to join us in keeping our rivers swimmable, fishable, and drinkable for our families and our future!

Please contact the Waccamaw Riverkeeper with any questions at Riverkeeper@winyahrivers.org or (843) 349-4007.
