Protecting our Lumber River from Erosion and Sediment

Update…we’ve added a document…”What in the World is Wattle”…check it out!

We are proud to partner with our NC Waterkeeper colleagues (Sound Rivers and Cape Fear River Watch) and Sierra Club on the NC Pipeline Watch Program.

As part of our efforts to educate and engage community members about the impact of the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline, our Lumber Riverkeeper, Jeff Currie, has prepared an online slide show that enables us to educate and train people in the community about standard sedimentation and erosion control methods and materials, pipeline construction best practices and images of violations of those best practices.

Click the links below. We hope you enjoy learning more about how you can protect clean water for our families and our future.
