River Heroes of the Week: The Hucks Family

At Winyah Rivers Alliance, we believe in working with clean hearts and dirty hands, and no one embodies that spirit more than the Hucks family.

Last year, Robert, Riles, and family helped launch the inaugural River-Way 5K, and this year we were thrilled to celebrate our 2nd Annual River-Way 5K together. From planning and organizing to recruiting participants and supporting every aspect of the event, the Hucks family has gone above and beyond to make this race a success.

Their dedication extends far beyond race day. The Hucks family has been a tremendous supporter of our Riverkeeper programs and our mission to protect and preserve the beautiful rivers, wetlands, and communities of the Winyah Bay watershed.

We are incredibly grateful for all they do and proud to recognize them as our River Heroes of the Week. Thank you, Hucks family, for your commitment to conservation, community, and the rivers we all love.
