We are pleased to announce that the second cycle for applications to the Lynches River Conservation Fund is now open!
The Lynches River is one of the so called "five rivers" that is part of our greater Winyah Bay watershed. We've been involved in conservation efforts there for several years and are proud to be part of the Lynches River Conservation Board, participating in the fund for land conservation/acquisition and supporting projects that will improve its water quality and ecological integrity.
In 2015, Winyah Rivers took title to property on the Black River at Rocky Point and for the first time officially became land owners. As a result, during our strategic planning process in 2016, we identified the need to develop a strategy for this and future land acquisitions.
